What are you wearing for Valentine's Day? Have you thought about it yet? This year I didn't want to overthink it and focused on easy outfits that were stylish and comfortable. I put these 3 easy men's outfit ideas together with pieces that you probably already have in your wardrobe. Depending on where you are located, you could add on another layer of clothes, like a peacoat or a puffer jacket.
Some years ago, I used to think that the colors red, pink or any variation of purple had to be worn on Valentine's. The truth is, you don't have to. In my opinion, it's a default and lacks original thought. Find items in your wardrobe that elevate your style and you feel great in. With that said, maybe some splashes of red could work for you. Whether you are going out for dinner, a night out with friends, or a romantic getaway with your significant other, let's start to look in your wardrobe for that outfit and not wait until the last minute!
3 Easy Men's Valentine's Day Outfit Ideas
This outfit is made up of basics. A bomber style jacket is a staple piece and for a clean look I put on a plain white long sleeve shirt. For the bottom, I wore light wash jeans which could be swapped out for darker denim if you'd like. I personally like the way the tobacco-colored Chelsea boots go with the lighter denim. I actually got all the clothes from Target's Goodfellow brand, their jeans are my new go-to favorites and come in a variety of sizes. The MARQ-R Chelsea boots from Aldo. I like the versatility of these boots but for a more casual look you can wear chelsea boots with a crepe or non-leather bottom.
While looking for ideas I came across a lot of all-black outfits and having one item to counter it. I searched through my closet and picked out this black distressed denim jacket and a matching washed out black jeans. I paired this with black brogue boots to elevate the style. I wore a tan sweater to add a warm color in the mix. The jacket is an Arizona jacket from JCPenney that I found for $20! The jeans are from Old Navy and the sweater is from Goodfellow. I got these brogue boots for about $40 from ASOS about 4 years ago.
For those looking for a look without denim or boots, you can wear something simple and casual like this here. I mixed some texture with pattern that subtly elevate your style without doing much. You'll start noticing a reoccuring theme here because this outfit is made up of Goodfellow items too. The vertical striped button up shirt is a great option if you're looking for something to make you appear a bit slimmer and taller. I threw on a knitted cardigan for the texture and coziness, also from Goodfellow. The slacks have been hanging in my closet for months, not becuase I didn't like them but because they were a littel tight until recently, since I started working out again. Be sure to try your pants on, as the fitting varies. Pair this with some white sneakers to tie it all togeher. These are the Reebok Club C 85's that I found at a Shoe Palace for $30!
Let me know what you think of these outfits down below or on my social channels! I wanted to make sure you could recreate or be inspired by these outfits that you could find at your local department store. Remember to build your wardrobe with basics and staple pieces that you can mix and match, you'll be ready for just about any occassion! Happy Valentine's!
